Experienced Civil Labourers – Wangetti Beach

About the role

Protech Cairns is looking for experienced civil labourers for ongoing civil construction work based at Wangetti Beach, about 40 km north of Cairns and 25 km south of Port Douglas. The positions are casual with consistent work, and pay starts from $40.00 per hour, with overtime and penalty rates available.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general civil labouring duties and assist with road, drainage and civil construction works
• Handle materials manually and use hand and power tools
• Work safely around machinery, plant and site personnel
• Maintain a safe and tidy work environment and follow all site safety procedures and directions

Required profile

• Previous civil labouring experience preferred; immediate start required
• Reliable, punctual and able to attend work every day
• Physically fit for manual labour and able to work flexible hours, including possible night shifts
• Able to travel independently to the Wangetti Beach site each shift
• Looking for ongoing employment in civil construction

Required skills

• Civil construction tickets such as Excavator, Skid Steer, Roller or similar highly regarded
• Construction White Card
• Current driver's licence and a reliable vehicle
