Senior Civil Designer - Land Subdivision

About the role

Stantec is looking for a Senior Civil Designer to join its Community Development team in Cairns in a permanent full-time position. The role covers project design and delivery across land subdivision projects, from early concept design and master planning through to detailed design and construction documentation. It suits someone with mainly urban and land development experience from civil engineering consultancy.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual and detailed designs using 12D for land subdivisions, road infrastructure, drainage, sewer and water systems and associated infrastructure
• Interpret civil design requirements of State Government, Local Government Authorities and private sector clients
• Interface with associated disciplines such as transport, planning, survey, traffic, electrical and landscaping
• Interact with clients regarding project needs

Required profile

• Demonstrated civil designer experience in land, urban and subdivision projects
• Relevant qualifications
• Demonstrated experience, ideally using 12D software
• Familiarity with local authority and state government approval and regulatory requirements
• Commitment to self-improvement and continuing professional development
