Expansion Manager

About the role

H&M Group is hiring an Expansion Manager for H&M Australia and New Zealand (AUNZ) in Sydney. Reporting to the General Manager of H&M AUNZ and leading an Expansion team of six, the role drives sustainable growth across the Sales Market by shaping and executing the expansion strategy, managing the store portfolio and leading commercial, operational and technical initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Create and align the Sales Market Expansion and Portfolio Management strategy with the Brand Plan and long-term business objectives.
• Drive a customer-centric expansion strategy by identifying market opportunities through consumer demand, sales performance and catchment analysis.
• Drive sales productivity, profitability and cost control through portfolio management and investment planning.
• Develop and manage the CAPEX portfolio so investment decisions support sustainable growth.
• Ensure expansion, construction and facilities activities meet company standards, governance requirements and sustainability goals.
• Review and approve projects, business cases and investment proposals.
• Lead, coach and develop high-performing teams, and foster cross-functional collaboration with Legal, Finance, Leasing, Construction, Facilities, Retail Operations and senior leadership.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years' experience in Expansion or a senior leadership role in a similar function.
• Solid understanding of expansion strategy, leasing, construction and facilities management.
• Proven experience leading and developing teams in complex, international environments.
• Demonstrated success in a matrix organisation with multiple stakeholders and seniority levels.
• Commercially astute, with strong financial acumen and strategic thinking.
