Executive - Financial Control, Banking and Financial Services

About the role

Macquarie is hiring a Financial Control Executive for its Banking and Financial Services business, based in Sydney. As part of the Financial Control team, you will support end-to-end financial control for products such as Personal Banking, Business Banking, Payments and Wealth. The role is permanent, full time and mid-level.

Key responsibilities

• Support the business balance sheet and profit and loss activities, including General Ledger close activities
• Ensure the accuracy of financial reporting and understand key controls and judgements
• Provide technical accounting support for new business initiatives, such as new products or features
• Implement and monitor the financial control framework

Required profile

• Tertiary degree in accounting or similar
• CA/CPA qualification, or studying towards it
• Experience in a financial control position
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills
• Previous experience in financial services is valuable

Required skills

• Technical accounting expertise
• Ability to work in a large, operationally complex environment (highly considered)
