About the role
AECOM is seeking a senior environmental professional to lead high‑profile environmental impact assessments and approval processes for energy, water and transport projects in Queensland.
Key responsibilities
- Lead environmental impact assessments and manage State and Commonwealth approval processes.
- Develop practical approval strategies that incorporate ecological values and biodiversity risk assessments.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and oversee preparation of assessments, management plans and approval documentation.
- Provide strategic advice to clients while managing project scope, budgets, programmes and technical quality.
- Mentor team members and contribute to business development for the Ecology and Impact Assessment practice.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in ecology, environmental science, natural resource management or a related discipline.
- Significant consulting experience at senior or principal level, with a focus on ecology and biodiversity assessment.
- Knowledge of Commonwealth and Queensland environmental and planning approval frameworks.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects, multidisciplinary teams and client relationships.
