About the role
EY is looking for an Entry Level Cyber Security Assessor to support Essential Eight maturity assessments for Federal Government and regulated industry clients. This role offers a solid foundation in audit and technical practices while exposing you to government security frameworks and assurance methodologies.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in delivering Essential Eight assessments through document reviews, evidence gathering and control validation.
- Evaluate control design and effectiveness across the eight core domains.
- Prepare assessment documentation, including working papers and evidence records.
- Document findings with clear links to evidence and maturity criteria.
- Support the development of remediation recommendations aligned to identified control gaps.
- Participate in client interviews and workshops alongside senior team members.
- Maintain adherence to assessment methodologies, quality standards and guidance.
- Help prepare assessment reports and supporting artefacts.
Required profile
- Australian citizenship (required by the nature of the work).
- Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to tasks.
- Willingness to learn and develop technical and assurance capabilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional and accountable attitude in client engagements.
