Enterprise Account Executive – Energy & Utilities

About the role

Databricks is seeking an Enterprise Account Executive focused on the Energy & Utilities sector in Sydney. The role is a Named Core position reporting to the Director of Enterprise Sales and is responsible for expanding Databricks’ footprint and driving platform consumption with existing enterprise customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex, multi‑stakeholder sales cycles from discovery through execution and consumption growth, acting as the “quarterback” for account teams.
• Orchestrate internal resources, hyperscaler partners (AWS, Azure, GCP) and system integrators to deliver high‑impact business outcomes.
• Identify, structure and close strategic committed deals that co‑invest in high‑priority initiatives.
• Prospect and generate leads using intent signals, account planning and customer stories.
• Maintain an accurate Salesforce pipeline, create proof‑of‑concepts and manage the full sales cycle.

Required profile

• Proactive, initiative‑taking with strong prioritisation and grit.
• Detail‑oriented, creative and coachable, comfortable with change and uncertainty.
• Proven track record in selling innovation, preferably in Big Data, Cloud or SaaS environments.
• Experience selling to Energy & Utilities accounts is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Strong prospecting, lead generation and customer engagement abilities.
• Technical understanding of the Databricks Data + AI Platform.
• Experience working with hyperscaler platforms: AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
• Proficiency with Salesforce for pipeline management.
