Enrolled Nurse - Transition to Residential Aged Care Unit

About the role

Belmont Hospital is recruiting an Enrolled Nurse for its Transition to Residential Aged Care (TRAC) Unit, a 20-bed ward where acute care nursing meets residential aged care. Patients have recovered from acute medical conditions but cannot safely return home, so the team provides compassionate geriatric nursing care, palliative care and emotional support while working with patients, families and carers. The position is permanent full time, 38 hours per week, based in Belmont, with remuneration of $75,011.91 to $81,508.14 per year plus superannuation and salary packaging.

Key responsibilities

• Provide geriatric nursing care, palliative care and emotional support to patients transitioning into residential aged care.
• Work closely with patients, families and carers to support their transition.
• Receive education support five days a week to build confidence and clinical skills.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Enrolled Nurse.
• A positive attitude, a compassionate approach and a genuine passion for caring for older people.
• Eligibility for permanent employment requires Australian citizenship, Australian permanent residency, or a New Zealand passport; visa sponsorship is not accommodated.
