Enrolled Nurse – Support Registered Nurse in Medical & Surgical Care

About the role

The Enrolled Nurse (EN with Endorsement) will work alongside registered nurses to deliver safe, person‑centred care for medical and surgical patients across West Moreton Health facilities. This role supports high‑quality clinical outcomes while adhering to NMBA standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist registered nurses and midwives in providing comprehensive patient care.
• Deliver family‑centred, evidence‑based nursing interventions.
• Monitor patient conditions, record observations, and report changes promptly.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and infection‑control protocols.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and uphold patient safety standards.

Required profile

• Current EN with Endorsement registration on the NMBA.
• Clinical knowledge in general medical and surgical nursing or a strong willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to escalate issues appropriately.
• Demonstrated empathy, rapport‑building, and respect for diverse patient needs.
• Self‑management, flexibility, and adaptability to changing situations.
