Engineering Manager – Hybrid

About the role

The Engineering Manager leads the engineering side of a product team, partnering with the Product General Manager and Product Design Manager to deliver high‑quality software on a predictable cadence. The role combines people management, sprint planning, and hands‑on coding.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team of engineers: run 1:1s, set goals, track performance, and support growth.
• Plan sprint or cycle capacity, break work into milestones with estimates, and track delivery progress.
• Remove blockers, act as primary escalation point, and ensure engineering process standards (test coverage, PR quality, deployment practices).
• Collaborate closely with the Product Design Manager on priorities and with the Tech Lead on technical quality.
• Contribute code regularly to stay sharp and maintain credibility with the team.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading engineering teams in a product environment.
• Strong execution focus, able to translate design discussions into actionable plans.
• Ability to communicate delivery status proactively and manage stakeholder expectations.

Required skills

• Experience with sprint planning, capacity management, and agile delivery.
• Hands‑on coding ability in the team’s technology stack.
• Understanding of engineering process standards such as test coverage and PR quality.
