Emergency and Critical Care Vet Nurse (Part-Time)

About the role

ARH Brisbane is looking for an experienced Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) veterinary nurse for a part-time position. You will deliver advanced nursing care in the emergency department, working closely with ECC veterinarians and specialists on a wide range of emergency cases. The role is supported by an ECC Team Leader and a Nursing Manager, and offers on-the-job training and opportunities such as a new ICU unit.

Required profile

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent
• At least 3 years of clinical nursing experience
• Previous emergency, critical care or referral hospital experience
• Availability to work a variety of shifts across a 24/7 rotating roster
• Friendly, easy-going nature, able to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong work ethic, efficiency and multitasking ability
• Demonstrated experience delivering high-quality patient care under busy conditions

Required skills

• Anaesthetic monitoring
• Nursing of critical and ventilated patients (advantageous)
• Familiarity with RX Works, Smartflow and Idexx blood machines (advantageous)
