About the role
Konecranes, a global leader in material handling solutions, is looking for an experienced Electrical Crane Technician to join its Newcastle team. You will work at heights, perform scheduled servicing and tackle complex breakdowns on overhead cranes, ensuring safe and reliable operation for our customers.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections, servicing and maintenance of overhead cranes and lifting equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults and breakdowns.
- Perform field modernisations, upgrades and installations.
- Attend emergency breakdown callouts as required.
- Identify and source parts efficiently.
- Carry out accurate risk assessments before each task.
- Communicate findings and repair solutions to customers professionally.
- Complete documentation and reports accurately and on time.
Required profile
- Current Electrical Licence.
- Current Driver’s Licence.
- Working at Heights competency.
- Elevated Work Platform (EWP) ticket (desired).
- Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving abilities.
- Safety‑first mindset and methodical approach.
- Confidence in representing the company to customers.
- Solid understanding of relevant Australian Standards.
- Team‑oriented attitude with strong attention to detail.
