EL1 Project Manager (ICT & Transformation)

About the role

HOBAN Recruitment is partnering with a large Federal Government agency to recruit an experienced EL1 Project Manager in the ACT to support complex ICT and business transformation initiatives. You will lead high-impact projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, managing end-to-end delivery, coordinating stakeholders, overseeing governance, managing risks and dependencies, and keeping projects on time, within scope and budget.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, manage and implement project plans, schedules and delivery frameworks.
• Coordinate project governance, reporting and executive briefings.
• Monitor milestones, dependencies, budgets and deliverables.
• Identify, assess and manage risks, issues and benefits, escalating where appropriate.
• Lead stakeholder engagement across business, technology and vendor groups.
• Manage procurement, contract administration and vendor delivery commitments.
• Prepare business cases, reports, governance papers and executive documentation.
• Support operational readiness, implementation and transition.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering complex ICT or enterprise system implementation projects.
• Experience managing risks, issues, dependencies and stakeholder expectations.
• Experience with vendors, contracts and commercial delivery arrangements.
• Previous experience in Federal or State Government environments.
• Australian citizenship, with ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance and pass pre-employment screening.

Required skills

• Project planning, scheduling and delivery management.
• Governance, reporting and executive communication.
• Knowledge of project management frameworks such as PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe Agile or a Diploma of Project Management.
• Agile or hybrid delivery environments; enterprise platform implementations, data migration and testing.
