ECommerce Sales Director – International Region

About the role

The ECommerce Sales Director – International will provide senior commercial leadership for eCommerce sales across Merlin’s International region, owning revenue, conversion and margin performance across all direct‑to‑consumer channels.

Key responsibilities

• Set the regional direct‑sales vision aligned with global consumer strategy and deliver annual revenue, margin and conversion targets.
• Shape and prioritise growth initiatives across web, app, onsite, call‑centre and kiosk channels, identifying new direct revenue streams and product innovations.
• Govern trading performance across all direct‑to‑consumer touchpoints, ensuring seamless, optimised customer journeys.
• Drive pricing execution, promotional governance, merchandising standards and product presentation.
• Partner with CRO teams to run experiments that improve revenue and experience.
• Act as senior escalation point for digital performance issues, working closely with Technology and Digital Product.
• Lead, inspire and develop a high‑performing regional direct‑sales team, embedding consistent standards and best practice.
• Lead commercial insight generation, establish robust governance for pricing, discounting and promotions, and deliver senior‑level reporting with clear recommendations.

Required profile

• Extensive senior commercial leadership experience within consumer‑facing or multi‑market organisations (retail, travel, entertainment).
• Proven track record of delivering revenue growth through direct sales channels.
• Experience leading senior managers and multi‑disciplinary teams in matrix environments.
• Strong capability in digital sales optimisation, forecasting and data interpretation.
