ECC Veterinary Manager – Emergency & Critical Care

About the role

Lead and inspire a high‑performing Emergency & Critical Care team while maintaining hands‑on clinical work. This 12‑month maternity‑leave contract starts in November 2026 with potential for a permanent leadership position.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and support the ECC veterinary team, including rostering and workforce planning.
• Promote clinical excellence, maintain high patient‑care standards and drive workflow improvements.
• Collaborate with specialists, referring veterinarians and hospital leadership on complex cases.

Required profile

• Veterinary degree eligible for registration in Victoria.
• Leadership experience in an Emergency & Critical Care or referral environment.
• Membership of the Australian & New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (ECC) or equivalent.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using RxWorks and Smartflow.
