E-Commerce Specialist

About the role

Who In The Zoo is partnering with an established business in Keysborough, Melbourne, to find an experienced and commercially focused E-Commerce Specialist to take ownership of its online business and drive continued digital growth. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role covers the day-to-day management and performance of the eCommerce channels, including website content, merchandising, promotions, SEO, analytics and customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage website content, product listings, imagery, collections and online merchandising
• Plan and execute website promotions, digital campaigns and social activity
• Drive SEO, SEM, user experience and conversion rate optimisation
• Use Google Analytics and performance data to improve sales and the customer journey
• Manage product enrichment and ensure products are activated accurately and on time
• Work with internal Design and Development teams to improve website functionality and resolve issues
• Manage relationships with external digital marketing agencies
• Prepare weekly and monthly trading reports and provide commercial insights to management
• Support the development and execution of the overall eCommerce strategy and KPIs

Required profile

• 3+ years of eCommerce experience, ideally within a retail environment
• Proven experience managing a multi-brand or multi-channel online store
• Strong knowledge of eCommerce, online merchandising, SEO, SEM and UX
• Experience using data to drive strategy, improve conversion and achieve commercial outcomes
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills; proactive, hands-on approach with attention to detail
• Commercially driven, digitally savvy and highly organised, able to work in a fast-paced environment

Required skills

• Shopify Plus and Google Analytics
• SEO, SEM and online merchandising
• Apparel21 or an equivalent ERP system (highly regarded)
• Social media platforms and eCommerce copywriting (highly regarded)
