Domain Technical Lead - Full Stack Software Engineering

About the role

A leading global resources company with major operations across Australia and internationally is looking for a technical lead developer for a team of full stack software engineers in Brisbane. The role provides technical and people leadership on enterprise-scale digital solutions, working closely with product owners, managers and technical teams to drive software engineering practices, DevOps excellence and innovation across digital and AI. The position is advertised as a contract.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical and people leadership to a team of full stack software engineers
• Define solution architecture and technical designs, and oversee development quality
• Conduct code reviews and mentor engineers
• Maintain oversight of infrastructure, architecture and codebases, and promote engineering and DevOps standards
• Work with product teams to align technical priorities with business objectives
• Support continuous improvement across cloud, application, data and AI environments, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure and sustainable

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer, Technical Lead or similar senior software engineering position
• Proven experience leading, mentoring and developing software engineering teams
• Experience across DevOps, IT operations, platform engineering and modern cloud-native environments
• Experience in digital teams or large-scale digital transformation programs
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong communication, planning and problem-solving skills

Required skills

• C#, React and TypeScript
• Solution and software architecture, enterprise-scale application development
• Azure experience highly regarded
• Observability, security, log analytics, automated testing and software engineering best practices
• TOGAF or other enterprise/domain architecture frameworks advantageous
• Delivering data, AI or analytics products highly regarded; mining, resources, asset maintenance or OT experience highly regarded
