About the role

The Australian Air Force is seeking qualified doctors to join its Defence Health System. This position offers the chance to deliver high‑quality patient care, lead multidisciplinary teams, and experience a variety of operational environments across Australia and overseas.

Key responsibilities

• Provide medical care to military personnel and the civilian community.
• Offer occupational and aviation medical advice.
• Supervise, lead and manage health professionals and subordinate staff.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and liaise with non‑ADF medical agencies.
• Plan, coordinate and execute aeromedical evacuations in tactical, operational and strategic settings.
• Monitor long‑term physical and mental fitness of Air Force and ADF members.
• Assist in natural disaster response and other emergency operations.

Required profile

• Recognised degree in Medicine.
• Australian citizenship (or meet ADF eligibility requirements).
• Minimum age of 17 at enlistment.
• Willingness to undergo initial military and employment training.
