About the role
The KPMG State Taxes team works on high‑profile transactions across Australia, serving clients in private equity, infrastructure, property, financial services and more. As a Director you will lead tax due diligence, structuring, post‑deal implementation and advisory work.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in buy‑side and sell‑side tax due diligence, identifying duty and land tax exposures.
- Advise on duty consequences of mergers, acquisitions, restructures and divestments.
- Identify post‑deal duty obligations and prepare submissions, applications, rulings and objections.
- Conduct tax research, provide planning advice and help clients manage tax risks.
- Stay current with state tax developments and participate in training.
