Director of Solutions Development

About the role

As Director of Solutions Development you will be a senior solutions expert within the Global Solutions team, supporting APAC and the wider region in shaping end‑to‑end automation and intralogistics solutions for complex customer operations.

Key responsibilities

• Work directly with customers, partners and regional commercial teams to understand operational challenges and develop comprehensive automation solutions, positioning AutoStore within the broader warehouse ecosystem.
• Support complex, high‑value opportunities by providing technical and commercial expertise for solution architecture, operational analysis, business cases and ROI discussions.
• Build deep understanding of adjacent warehouse technologies, identify complementarities with AutoStore and apply this knowledge to customer use cases.
• Act as a senior Global Solutions expert, feeding customer, market and technology insights back to Product, Strategy and Commercial teams to influence roadmap development.
• Elevate Solutions team capabilities by sharing expertise, developing standards, best practices and providing technical guidance and training to regional teams and partners.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in commercial, solutions or customer‑facing roles supporting complex, high‑value opportunities and strategic customers.
• Strong domain expertise in automation, robotics or intralogistics with deep understanding of end‑to‑end warehouse solutions, material flows and system integration.
• Proven ability to engage and influence senior and executive stakeholders, building trusted relationships with customers, partners and internal teams.
• Capability to operate as a senior subject‑matter expert and individual contributor, influencing Solutions, Commercial, Product and Engineering teams.

Required skills

• Expertise in automation, robotics or intralogistics technologies.
• Strong commercial judgement and ability to develop business cases and ROI analyses.
