Director of Pharmacovigilance & Product Safety

About the role

The Director of Pharmacovigilance & Product Safety will lead Blackmores' PV team and Product Quality Complaints team, driving safety, compliance and continuous improvement across the group. Reporting to the GM Quality, Pharmacovigilance & Medical, this senior position combines strategic oversight with hands‑on leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor a team of ~7 staff, including two team leaders.
• Implement and ensure compliance of the Pharmacovigilance program and Product Safety Assessments across the Blackmores Group.
• Deliver PV training to the broader business and targeted teams as required.
• Identify and execute continuous‑improvement opportunities and champion change management.
• Communicate how PV and product safety programs protect patients, brand reputation and minimise business exposure.

Required profile

• Registered pharmacist with extensive industry experience.
• Proven experience leading a Pharmacovigilance or Medical Affairs function.
• Signals detection experience.
• Exposure to Product Quality Complaints is an advantage.
• People‑leadership experience within industry.
• Strong communication, business acumen and self‑starting attitude.
