Director of Finance

About the role

The hotel group is looking for an experienced Director of Finance to lead all aspects of financial management across its Darwin Airport properties. This senior, strategic position works closely with the General Manager and department heads to drive performance, improve profitability and build financial capability throughout the business.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted business partner to department heads, providing financial insight and influencing decision‑making.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and long‑term financial planning with full departmental engagement.
• Analyse performance trends, identify cost‑efficiency and revenue opportunities, and present recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations and robust internal controls.
• Develop and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and trust.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a senior finance role within a hotel environment.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Understanding of hotel systems, financial processes and compliance requirements.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships across the organisation.
