Director, Division of Adult Mental Health Services

About the role

The Director, Division of Adult Mental Health Services provides specialist clinical care and leads the delivery of addiction and mental health services for inpatient and community settings at Princess Alexandra Hospital within Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Services (MSAMHS).

Key responsibilities

• Provide professional leadership, oversight and accountability for clinical addiction and mental health services across designated sites.
• Develop strong links within Metro South Hospital and Health Service to ensure high‑quality service provision.
• Represent MSAMHS at site‑based meetings and committees to support integration with the broader health system.
• Offer expert advice on service gaps, challenges and opportunities and support patient flow across sites.

Required profile

• Operational reporting to the Service Line Director, MSAMHS and professional reporting to the Director of Medical Services.
• Commitment to treating patients and staff fairly, respecting cultural, religious, ethnic and linguistic diversity.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple sites and teams to achieve acceptable consumer outcomes.
