Director, Cost Management (Victoria)

About the role

Linesight, a global project and cost management consultancy, is looking for a Director, Cost Management in Victoria. You will lead a highly experienced, culturally diverse team, contribute to the business strategy and act as the key account manager for the cost team, building client relationships based on partnership and trust.

Key responsibilities

• Act as key account manager for the cost team, developing client relationships based on partnership and trust
• Use business development skills to engage new clients and secure repeat projects with existing ones
• Oversee key strategic client projects and deliver them within contract performance measures
• Negotiate contract terms and commercial agreements with external clients and contractors
• Mentor and lead your team to deliver high-quality results and client value

Required profile

• Strong operational and team management experience in a dynamic consultancy environment
• Experience in pre- and post-contract cost management on large, complex construction projects
• 10+ years in construction, ideally with previous cost management experience in the data centre sector
• Degree or comparable experience in cost management or quantity surveying
• Chartered and ideally a member of the RICS
• Confidence leading meetings with clients and excellent verbal and written communication
