Digital Software Engineer

About the role

The Digital Software Engineer will join ASX’s Customer & Digital line of business to help deliver a multi‑year digital transformation programme. You will work on a cloud‑based digital services platform using microservice and event‑driven architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Java‑based microservices and APIs following event‑driven patterns.
• Build operational and support tools, create documentation, and ensure reliable production support.
• Contribute to code quality through reviews, apply agile practices, and estimate backlog items.
• Collaborate with architecture and solution engineering to define technical options aligned with the digital roadmap.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience as a Java engineer, preferably in a digital team.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud platforms (Google Cloud or AWS).
• Experience with both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
• Excellent stakeholder management, attention to detail, and a continuous‑improvement mindset.
