Dewatering Technician

About the role

Join Gold Fields' underground maintenance team as a Dewatering Technician, working on modern dewatering systems in a safety‑first culture. You will support the Agnew mine by installing, repairing, and monitoring pumps and related infrastructure while adhering to company policies and statutory regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repairs, servicing and modifications to maximise equipment availability.
• Carry out preventative maintenance on underground dewatering systems.
• Diagnose faults, repair damaged pumps and maintain all dewatering infrastructure.
• Maintain ancillary equipment and ensure compliance with maintenance processes.
• Prioritise and coordinate unplanned work throughout the week.
• Review maintenance procedures and propose modern technology improvements where appropriate.

Required profile

• Proven experience in fixed plant maintenance, preferably in an underground environment.
• Valid Western Australia manual driver’s licence.
• Relevant trades ticket (Plumbing, Mechanical or similar).
• Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office; SAP experience is an advantage.
• Knowledge of statutory obligations; additional licences (HR, crane, dogging, EWP, forklift) are beneficial.
