Design Manager - Water Infrastructure

About the role
Lead multi‑disciplinary design delivery for water infrastructure projects, working closely with clients, contractors and internal teams to ensure high‑quality outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Lead design delivery across treatment plants, pipelines, pump stations and related assets.
- Manage design programmes, budgets and risk registers to meet schedule and cost commitments.
- Chair design reviews, technical forums and HAZID/HAZOP sessions.
- Drive digital delivery using 3D models and BIM, promoting sustainable solutions.
- Support bid development with clear design strategies and mentor emerging technical leaders.
Required profile
- Relevant engineering qualification with consulting/design management experience.
- Proven track record delivering large, complex water infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Leadership mindset with a collaborative approach.
Required skills
- BIM and 3D model coordination.
- HAZID and HAZOP facilitation.
- D&C/alliancing processes.
- Risk management and safety procedures.
