Design Coordinator

About the role

Perth Airport is seeking a Design Coordinator on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract to support and coordinate design processes for a variety of capital projects. Reporting to the Senior Design Manager or Design Manager, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure designs align with the airport’s Master Plan, strategic objectives, technical requirements and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support and coordinate design of capital portfolio projects across multiple areas of Infrastructure Management & Technology (IMT).
• Assist with scope management, schedule inputs, design efficiency, cost‑effectiveness and compliance with the Quality Management System.
• Participate in technical reviews of design documentation from external consultants and contractors.
• Coordinate design inputs and reviews with designers, suppliers, project teams and third‑party stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Design Manager, Project Manager and wider project team to integrate technical solutions and drive project delivery.
• Help manage requirements, design verification, technical risk, sustainability objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide specialist advice, resolve technical queries, contribute to cost planning and produce design performance reports.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in design coordination, engineering, architecture, project management or a related field.
• Proven ability to work effectively across complex project environments.
• Strong collaborative mindset and communication skills.
