Architect – Retail & Commercial Projects

About the role

We are seeking a technically talented Architect or Building Designer to join our Brisbane office. The role involves delivering retail and commercial projects from town‑planning stages through to full architectural documentation, while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders across Australia and New Zealand.

Key responsibilities

• Develop architectural documentation for retail and commercial projects.
• Manage projects from planning approval to construction documentation.
• Conduct site surveys, measurements and coordinate with contractors.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and multidisciplinary teams.
• Mentor junior staff and share knowledge within the team.
• Prioritise workload and meet project deadlines.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years experience on retail or commercial projects.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction, BCA and building codes.
• Positive attitude, teamwork skills and ability to work autonomously.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Relevant architectural degree or qualification and a current driver’s licence.
