Deputy Store Manager

About the role

Bellroy is building its first Melbourne store in the city it calls home, and the retail team brings the brand's experience to life in person. As Deputy Store Manager you are the person the Store Manager hands the reins to with confidence, shaping how the store operates from the ground up while staying close to the people making decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager and run the morning huddle, briefing the team on priorities and product updates
• Handle escalated customer situations such as complaints, warranty queries and considered purchase decisions
• Review performance numbers and flag underperforming product categories to the team and manager
• Manage stock processes, cash handling, deliveries and the daily operations that keep the store running
• Train and support colleagues so they feel more confident
• Keep the floor tidy and displays correct, and resolve discrepancies in deliveries

Required profile

• 3+ years of retail supervisory experience
• Experience running the operational side of a store: stock, cash handling, deliveries
• Ability to train and support others without it feeling like training
• Genuine interest in the product and comfort with ambiguity in an early-stage store
• Settled, grounded presence on the floor that steadies the team
