Deputy Principal – Leadership Role in Primary School

About the role

The Meadow Springs Education Support Centre is seeking a dedicated Deputy Principal to join its leadership team. This permanent, full‑time position starts in Term 4, 2026 and supports a school community focused on students with autism and complex communication needs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide instructional leadership for the Maths curriculum.
• Lead the Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Committee.
• Coordinate the Senior Cluster and support whole‑school events.
• Assist with behaviour management, disability resourcing, data collection and medical support.
• Collaborate with the mainstream administration team to uphold the “Two Schools One Community” ethos.

Required profile

• Strong interpersonal and emotional intelligence skills.
• Ability to build constructive relationships with staff, students, parents and the wider community.
• Experience mentoring new teachers and supporting staff in a complex school environment.
• Capacity to coach, listen actively, show empathy and resolve conflicts.
