Deputy Construction Manager

About the role

The Deputy Construction Manager will support the Project Manager in delivering a solar farm and battery project in Culcairn, NSW. This role ensures safe, efficient, on‑time and on‑budget delivery while meeting contractual, quality, environmental and WHS requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager with planning, coordination and sequencing of construction activities.
• Develop and maintain delivery plans, work schedules and resource forecasts.
• Monitor progress against the schedule, identify risks and constraints, and help resolve issues.
• Track project expenditure, support cost reporting and manage variations, progress claims and commercial performance.
• Administer head‑contract and subcontract obligations, review notices, claims and payment matters.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Maintain clear communication of status, issues and risks, and escalate matters when needed.

Required profile

• Experience supporting a Project Manager in construction planning, budgeting and commercial control.
• Ability to work closely with internal teams, subcontractors, consultants and clients.
• Strong organisational skills to manage schedules, documentation and stakeholder communication.
