Dental Receptionist – Full‑time, 4‑day week

About the role

Maven Dental New Farm is seeking an experienced Dental Receptionist for a full‑time, four‑day week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) with Wednesdays and weekends off. You will be the first point of contact for patients, supporting a welcoming environment and working closely with the Practice Manager, dentists and hygiene team.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome patients and create a friendly, professional first impression.
• Manage appointments, patient enquiries and day‑to‑day reception duties.
• Answer phone calls, process payments, HICAPS and health‑fund claims.
• Maintain accurate patient records and keep the front desk organised.
• Use Oasis practice management software and MS Office for administration.
• Support a positive patient experience, especially for nervous or anxious patients.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a dental reception or dental assisting role (essential).
• Recent experience using Oasis practice management software (essential).
• Availability to work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
• Knowledge of HICAPS, health‑fund claims and dental item numbers.
• Warm, professional approach to patient care and strong organisational skills.
