About the role

A friendly, well-established two-chair dental practice in Sutherland is looking for an experienced Dental Assistant / Receptionist. The role combines chairside dental assisting with front desk duties, so it suits someone who enjoys variety and is confident assisting at the chair as well as helping at reception.

Key responsibilities

• Chairside assisting
• Preparing surgeries and instruments
• Infection control and sterilisation
• Patient care and communication
• Answering phones and managing appointments
• Reception and general administration
• Processing payments and assisting with patient enquiries

Required profile

• Previous Dental Assistant experience
• Confident and professional with patients
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Organised, reliable and a team player
• Comfortable with reception duties
• Good knowledge of infection control and sterilisation procedures

Required skills

• Cert III in Dental Assisting preferred
• Knowledge of infection control and sterilisation
