Dental Assistant / Receptionist (Casual)

About the role

Join Coastal Orthodontics as a casual Dental Assistant/Receptionist, supporting a specialist orthodontic practice in Tweed Heads. Work 3‑4 days a week in a friendly, supportive environment while learning orthodontic procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Provide chair‑side assistance during orthodontic procedures, including braces, clear aligners and retainers.
• Assist with consultations, records, photographs, scans and other clinical processes.
• Clean, sterilise and maintain instruments according to infection‑control standards.
• Set up materials, instruments and equipment required for each appointment.
• Maintain clean, organised and well‑stocked clinical areas and support efficient appointment flow.

• Shows initiative, reliability and a positive, professional attitude.
• Communicates confidently with patients and team members.
• Enjoys learning new skills and works well in a fast‑paced team environment.
• Is adaptable, organised and willing to support wherever needed.

Required skills

• Ability to follow infection‑control and health‑and‑safety procedures.
• Basic organisational and record‑keeping abilities.
