Demi Chef – Luxury Resort Kitchen

About the role

Join the JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa as a Demi Chef, supporting a passionate kitchen team to deliver high‑quality, mouth‑watering dishes for luxury guests. You will report directly to the Executive Chef and play a key part in maintaining culinary excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare fresh ingredients according to recipes, including portioning, chopping and storing.
• Cook menu items promptly while ensuring top‑quality standards.
• Test foods for proper preparation and temperature.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain sanitation of surfaces and storage containers.
• Delegate tasks within the department and run shifts efficiently.

Required profile

• Experience in a similar role, preferably in a 4‑5 star hotel kitchen.
• Trade qualification.
• Strong food safety knowledge.
• Great communication skills and ability to work both in a team and autonomously.
• Passion for food and desire to grow a culinary career.
