Dealership Accountant

About the role

Working closely with the CFO and senior management, you will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for a multi‑site automotive dealership group. The role involves maintaining strong financial controls across both dealership and wholesale operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, profit & loss, balance sheet and other financial reports.
• Complete and review bank, balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate financial records for vehicle stock, inventory and transactions.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, BAS and statutory reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Experience as a Dealership Assistant Accountant or Dealership Accountant in the automotive sector.
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

Required skills

• Month‑end reporting and financial analysis.
• Reconciliation of bank, balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
• Knowledge of BAS and statutory compliance requirements.
