Data Analyst

About the role

The Data Analyst will work within Metro's Analytics Team to analyse trends, forecast impacts of network changes and provide data‑driven insights that support short‑ to medium‑term decision making for performance, safety and passenger experience.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to identify business challenges and drive data‑led improvement opportunities.
• Analyse data to uncover trends, root causes, risks and performance insights.
• Develop forecasting models and analytical solutions to predict trends and support business planning.
• Create dashboards, reports and visualisations that enable informed decision‑making.
• Integrate, validate and document data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior leaders and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Business, Science, Analytics or Engineering.
• Experience working with diverse stakeholders to deliver analytics.
• Ability to work autonomously and adapt to shifting priorities in an agile team.

Required skills

• PowerBI and data visualisation
