Cyber Analyst

About the role

Join Boeing Defence Australia’s C‑17A Globemaster III sustainment team at RAAF Base Amberley and own the security and resilience of the mission‑critical ICT systems that enable Australia’s strategic airlift capability. You will work in a high‑tempo environment, implementing and managing cybersecurity risk controls while collaborating with engineering, maintenance and Defence partners.

Key responsibilities

• Own the security and resilience of the C‑17A ICT systems supporting the RAAF heavy‑lift fleet.
• Develop, assess and implement cybersecurity risk controls and technical security measures.
• Manage vulnerability identification, risk assessment and remediation planning for mission‑critical systems.
• Analyse security designs, recommend mitigations and execute required ICT changes through Defence change‑management processes.
• Coordinate timely reporting, investigation and response to cybersecurity incidents in line with the Incident Response Plan.
• Prepare and maintain authorisation documentation to support system accreditation.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in a cyber‑related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience with vulnerability management, security design analysis and incident response.
• Knowledge of Defence change‑management and accreditation processes.
• Desirable: Digital Forensics (DFIR) certifications such as SANS.
