Customer Service/Optical Assistant

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position at Oscar Wylee in Gold Coast involves delivering friendly, professional service to customers visiting our optical store. You will help patients select eyewear, manage appointments and support the optometrist during consultations.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and assist customers throughout their visit.
• Guide patients in choosing frames and lenses that suit their needs.
• Schedule and confirm appointments, maintaining accurate records.
• Support the optometrist during eye examinations and consultations.
• Keep store displays tidy, organized and visually appealing.
• Perform administrative tasks such as data entry and inventory checks.

Required profile

• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Basic knowledge of eyewear and optometry services with a genuine interest in the optical field.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in administrative work.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and multitask effectively.
• Prior retail, optical or customer‑service experience is a plus.
• Team‑oriented mindset and willingness to work weekends as needed.
