Customer Field Technician - Goulburn

About the role

nbn is looking for people based in Goulburn to join its internal workforce as a Customer Field Technician. This is a permanent, full-time, hands-on, customer-focused role where you work independently to complete a variety of tasks across different nbn technologies, including installations, repairs, maintenance and supporting customers in their homes or businesses. Working hours are between 7am and 7pm, with flexibility depending on business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Install copper or fibre cabling and set up customer equipment
• Identify and fix faults
• Support customers in their homes or businesses and keep them informed throughout the process
• Follow nbn's safety procedures and apply safe work practices at all times

Required profile

• No previous telecommunications experience needed; full training is provided
• Experience in plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, construction, civils, hospitality, manufacturing or similar is highly valued
• Enjoys hands-on problem-solving and communicating with customers
• Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload
• Strong commitment to safety and clear communication skills
• Current, clean driver's licence
• Full working rights in Australia; a criminal history check and pre-employment medical assessment are required
