Electronics Technician - Loan & Demonstration Equipment

About the role

DTC, a Codan company, offers wireless security products, IP network devices and C4I software solutions. Based in Mawson Lakes, Adelaide, this role combines hands-on electronics technician work with coordinating the company's loan, demonstration and exhibition equipment. You will prepare, configure, test and maintain communications equipment for customer demonstrations, training, trade shows and internal events, working with sales, product, engineering and customer support teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and configure communications equipment, including firmware and software updates, licensing and functional testing
• Inspect returned equipment, investigate technical issues and coordinate repairs or further engineering support
• Maintain loan, demonstration and exhibition equipment so it stays ready and reliable
• Coordinate equipment allocation, bookings and availability for customers and internally
• Support materials and inventory management with accurate records of equipment, accessories and components
• Process dispatches, returns and stock movements through the ERP system
• Monitor outstanding loans and follow up overdue, missing or damaged equipment
• Coordinate the annual stocktake of Adelaide demonstration assets and support regional offices
• Provide backup support for technical enquiries, RMAs and customer visits
• Support ISO 9001 audits and improve equipment preparation, asset management and customer support processes

Required profile

• Electronics technician with practical experience preparing, configuring, testing and maintaining electronic or communications equipment
• Qualification in electronics or communications, or equivalent trade or industry experience
• Some experience in materials management, inventory control, logistics or supply chain, ideally in a technical or manufacturing environment
• Comfortable with ERP or inventory management systems; SAP experience is an advantage
• Organised, customer-focused and able to balance technical work with coordination and administrative tasks
