About the role

Join CommBank’s Direct Banking team in Hobart as a Customer Care Specialist, providing friendly and efficient support for everyday banking enquiries. This full‑time position offers a blend of in‑person and virtual training, followed by on‑the‑job learning to help you succeed from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Handle inbound customer contacts across a wide range of banking topics.
• Deliver personalised, empathetic service and aim to resolve enquiries on the first call.
• Ask probing questions to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions and follow internal processes.
• Participate in a structured 18‑month development program to broaden product knowledge.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help customers.
• Resilience and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Willingness to work the specified shift patterns and accommodate changes with a two‑hour notice.
• Commitment to a 12‑month roster and three weeks of compulsory training.
