Outbound Telemarketing & Appointment Setting Specialist

About the role

Our client, an owner‑led trades and home services business in Greater Melbourne, is looking for a driven Outbound Telemarketing & Appointment Setting Specialist. Reporting directly to the Business Owner, you will generate new business opportunities through high‑volume cold calling, qualify prospects, and book site estimates to keep the field team’s schedule full.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily outbound cold calls to residential and commercial prospects across target Melbourne locations.
• Build and maintain qualified lead databases using online directories, property maps, and trade registries.
• Qualify prospect needs, budget and urgency, and schedule site visits directly onto the estimator’s calendar.
• Execute multi‑touch follow‑up sequences to nurture leads and re‑engage past prospects.
• Log call outcomes, prospect notes and appointment details accurately in the CRM and call‑tracking tools.
• Publish simple photos, project highlights and brief captions of completed jobs on Facebook and Instagram.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in outbound cold calling, telemarketing or appointment setting with a proven record of meeting phone targets.
• Strong phone presence, clear professional English, high resilience to rejection and ability to handle gatekeepers.
• Familiarity with trades, construction, home improvement or property services is highly desirable.
• Highly disciplined in logging prospect data, managing follow‑up schedules and working independently to meet daily KPIs.
