Country Sales Manager – Australia & New Zealand

About the role

Air Canada is seeking a senior leader to head passenger sales and marketing across Australia and New Zealand. The Country Sales Manager will drive profitable revenue growth, expand market share and strengthen customer engagement in line with the New Frontier strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute market strategies aligned with Air Canada’s New Frontier vision, delivering revenue, yield and market‑share targets.
• Lead commercial execution across all passenger segments, negotiate and manage agreements, and ensure compliance with corporate policies.
• Drive digital‑first sales through direct channels (web, mobile, NDC), champion modern distribution capabilities and apply data‑driven pricing optimisation.
• Build and develop a high‑performing sales team, enhancing capabilities in digital sales, analytics and account management.
• Act as Air Canada’s primary spokesperson, providing market intelligence, overseeing B2B and B2C marketing initiatives and representing the airline to government and industry partners.
• Establish strategic partnerships with tourism boards, government bodies and industry players to boost inbound travel to Canada.
• Oversee local personnel, administration and financial responsibilities, ensuring governance, risk and corporate standards are met.

Required profile

• Degree in business, tourism or a related field.
• Proven sales leadership experience, preferably in the airline or travel industry.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and drive profitable growth.
