About the role
The Counsellor will support individuals experiencing a wide range of psychosocial challenges, from mental health issues to trauma and financial hardship, within a primary health setting.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments.
- Deliver evidence‑based counselling and targeted therapeutic interventions.
- Coordinate holistic care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Required profile
- Minimum three years post‑qualification counselling experience.
- Current registration with a professional body (ACA, PACFA).
- Demonstrated knowledge of evidence‑based interventions for mental health, addiction, trauma, grief and complex family dynamics.
- Empathetic, culturally responsive approach with a commitment to safe, inclusive, person‑centred care.
- Strong problem‑solving, critical‑thinking and advocacy skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
