Cook – Aged Care Facility (Permanent Part-Time)

About the role

Aegis Alfred Carson, an aged care facility in Claremont, is looking for a Cook on a permanent part-time roster. The Cook works under the direction and support of the Chef Manager and contributes to the facility's dining experiences, which are central to residents' quality of life. The roster is Wednesday 09:00-17:00 and Sunday 09:00-17:00.

Key responsibilities

• Organise kitchen staff in the preparation and serving of meals.
• Prepare residents' meals according to dietary plans and developed menus.
• Manage receipt of stores and food storage in line with relevant regulations.
• Ensure correct food handling techniques are always observed.

Required profile

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
• Experience preparing food for large numbers of people.
• Aged care experience highly regarded.
• Ability to supervise, organise and guide staff to deliver high-quality catering outcomes.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Full Australian working rights and ability to obtain a National Police Clearance.
