Contracts Administrator

About the role

BESIX Watpac, a multi-disciplinary construction company and wholly owned subsidiary of the BESIX Group, is looking for Contracts Administrators in Adelaide to join its South Australia team working on large-scale projects.

Key responsibilities

• Tender subcontract packages: compile and approve tender documents and the proposed tender list, issue documents, receive tenders, compare them and submit tender recommendations for approval.
• Prepare contract documents for each trade package or subcontract.
• Assist the Project Manager with subcontract administration, including progress claims, variation claims and other project-related financial matters.
• Take part in monthly consolidated reporting covering cash flow forecasting, variation status, contractual matters and cost analysis.
• Set up an effective site or office-based system for administering projects in line with company procedures and guidelines.

Required profile

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role within the building construction industry.
• Ability to communicate, influence and build relationships at all levels of the business, working as part of a team.
• Ability to work autonomously, cope with shifting priorities and deliver results.
