Construction Worker Band C (Supervisor) – Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Construction Worker Band C (Supervisor) – Maintenance to join RoadTek’s Cairns Operations Unit. The role involves leading frontline maintenance activities, overseeing civil infrastructure projects and ensuring safe, resilient transport services for regional communities.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise delivery of civil construction and maintenance projects through all phases.
• Coordinate with clients, stakeholders and project teams to achieve project outcomes.
• Provide coaching and support to team members, fostering skill development.
• Manage daily project records, labour, plant and equipment availability.
• Implement performance monitoring systems and report on site staff performance.
• Support employees in the Civil Trades Development Program with training and skilling.
• Travel to remote sites as required, with expenses and allowances provided.

Required profile

• Current, valid Queensland “C” class driver’s licence.
• Certificate III in Civil Construction or ability to obtain it within 36 months.
• Demonstrated experience in supervising civil construction or maintenance projects.
• Willingness to undergo a pre‑employment medical.
• Ability to work in remote locations and adapt to varying travel periods.
