Construction Site Manager – Volume Home Building

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Site Manager to lead multiple volume home building projects in Melbourne’s South‑Eastern suburbs. The role involves overseeing the construction of 8‑12 new homes at any time, ensuring they are delivered on schedule, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage 8‑12 concurrent new home builds, including a mix of KDRB and Greenfield projects.
• Achieve key performance indicators such as build cycle time, site quality audit scores and client handover targets.
• Maintain tidy, organised and compliant sites that reflect company standards.
• Allocate materials and trades, coordinate subcontractors and schedule onsite works.
• Ensure timely construction within budget while adhering to safety and quality procedures.
• Communicate professionally with clients, trades, and management.
• Inspect completed projects to verify quality and compliance.
• Update company systems and report on‑site activity to management.
• Identify and resolve construction issues throughout the build process.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Site Manager in volume residential construction (single‑ and double‑storey).
• Demonstrated ability to deliver homes on time, within budget and to high quality standards.
• Background in carpentry or a related trade is preferred.
• Current White Card, valid driver’s licence and preferably First Aid certification.
• Strong knowledge of NCC requirements, building regulations and local council compliance.

Required skills

• Interpretation of construction drawings, engineering plans and specifications.
• Use of construction management platforms such as Framework Logistics (or similar).
• White Card (construction induction).
• First Aid (preferred).
• Valid driver’s licence.
